The Top 3 Requirements For Peak Fitness and Performance

What do you think of when you hear the word “fitness?” For many, it involves exercise, weight loss, or simply getting in better shape physically.

In actuality, there are several aspects of fitness that we must be aware of: physical fitness, mental fitness, and spiritual fitness.

Each are needed in order for us to be the best we can be:

It doesn’t matter how strong you are physically if you lack self confidence or give up easily.

3 pillars of fitness
Being strong mentally is excellent, but you can only accomplish so much if you’re suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, arthritis, or have high cholesterol.

Having achieved success is hollow if you hurt everyone in your path to attain it (spiritual fitness.) How happy can you be if you know your success can be taken away because it was obtained illegally or immorally?

We can become so focused on reaching our goals or trying to get things done that we forget about the other aspects of fitness. For example, a person may be willing to work 60 – 80 hours a week to reach their goals. While their dedication is admirable, if they are sitting behind a desk the majority of the time, consuming energy drinks or eating fast food at their desk, their physical fitness will suffer tremendously.

This in turn could cause their work performance to suffer as well.

It’s OK to get that 6 pack, but don’t neglect your mental toughness and inner peace in the process.

It’s OK to become the top salesman in your company, but don’t reach your goal by using illegal or unethical business practices to make it happen.

It’s OK to make a million dollars, but it’s not as meaningful if you’re too sick to enjoy it.

Work on all three aspects of fitness simultaneously. Your entire body will thank you!
