Day 2 of my 5 day water fast is just about completed. I’m a tad hungry, but it’s nothing I can’t handle. At this point its all mental. Fasting has many amazing benefits that don’t get discussed. One amazing benefit is autophagy. Autophagy is defined as “consumption of the body’s own tissue as a metabolic process occurring in starvation and certain diseases.”

Fasting won’t get the attention it deserves because more money is made when people are sick or taking supplements and medications. if a person isn’t eating or spending money, what is the incentive for corporations to tout the benefits of fasting?
