Have you ben watching the news lately? As I watch the news on the economy, I notice how prices of many things are increasing:
- Stock market is up
- Bitcoin is up
- Corn prices are up
- Milk prices are up
- Gas prices are up
- Home prices are up
Have you noticed the price of groceries lately? The price of food and other items are higher than they were a year ago. All these things are increasing in price, but gold has had a big pullback, and silver is still off it’s all-time highs?
If you want to purchase a silver coin or bar, you’re told it can take 2 weeks for it to be shipped. Usually, when demand increases, prices tend to increase, but that’s not happening here. Gold is considered a hedge against inflation, but it is well off its high of $2,000/ounce.
Gold and silver have been used as money for over 5,000 years. Central banks have it in their vaults, and many countries own tons of the precious metal.
It was even BANNED in the United States up until 1971.
However, in this day when practically everything else is going up in value, why are these two not participating in the price increases?
One theory worth investigating is gold and silver are considered direct threats to the dollar, which is a fiat currency. Did you know just 50 years ago the dollar was backed by gold, but now it’s back by nothing but the “full faith and credit of the U.S. government?”
As people watch the economy and choose various investments, it’s a good idea to look at the big picture. Things may not be what they appear to be. It’s also important to study how money works and various investment strategies available. These types of lessons aren’t taught in school or discussed on mainstream media, so you must be proactive and seek the information yourself. It’s critical you become proactive and learn how to make your own investment decisions.
Pick up a copy of my book Invest For Success: Millionaire Wealth Strategies Not taught in School. Sometimes, the best investments are hiding in plain sight.
This information should be shared with our children as well. Our school system teaches very little about business and entrepreneurship. Help them learn the basics with my book Planting Seeds: The Children’s Guide to Entrepreneurship. The earlier they are exposed to these terms and concepts, the better off they will be. Both books available on Amazon.
