The Covid Vaccine is NOT Enough: The Top Ways to Maintain Good Health

Are you getting the covid vaccine? Millions of people have gotten shot, but is that enough to keep you healthy?

No, it is not.

The reality is fully vaxxed individuals can still get the virus, transmit it to others and die from it. Ideally, a person could get the vaccine and not have to worry about covid, but that’s not the case. Arguing and debating about the effectiveness of the vaccine is wasting time. At the end of the day, we must do everything we can to strengthen our immune systems and maintain good health. This includes eating healthy foods and making healthy lifestyle choices.

Maintaining Good Health is Key

The key to maintaining good health and protecting yourself from disease is a strong and healthy immune system. This is accomplished by eating healthy foods and maintaining good lifestyle habits. Listen to this video about some of the best ways to protect yourself naturally.

According to the Mayo Clinic, the following health conditions can increase the severity of covid:

  • Old age
  • Lung problems
  • Heart disease
  • Diabetes and obesity
  • Cancer and certain blood disorders
  • Weakened immune system
  • Chronic kidney or liver disease

Whether a person chooses to get the vaccine is their choice, but its critical we are mindful of health issues that can make covid symptoms worse. This means being proactive and do what we can to achieve good health.

Don’t think a shot or a pill will protect you from illness. It might help, but the key is having strong foundation, which means having a healthy immune system.

Black Seed Oil

Unfortunately, many amazing health benefits of natural foods are not discussed. Here is an informative study on black seed oil and covid:

Did you know black seed oil could be used as an adjuvant therapy along with repurposed conventional drugs to manage the patients with COVID-19?

N.sativa has antiviral, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, bronchodilatory, antihistaminic, antitussive activities related to causative oraganism and signs and symptoms of COVID-19. N. sativa could be used as an adjuvant therapy along with repurposed conventional drugs to manage the patients with COVID-19.

Other scientific studies show the potential benefit of black seed oil also:

“Recently, TQ has demonstrated notable antiviral activity against a SARSCoV-2 strain isolated from Egyptian patients, and molecular docking studies have also shown that TQ could potentially inhibit COVID-19 development through binding to the receptor-binding domain on the spike and envelope proteins of SARS-CoV-2.”

Vitamin D

Did you know it is recommended that people at risk of influenza and/or COVID-19 consider taking 10,000 IU/d of vitamin D3 for a few weeks to rapidly raise 25(OH)D concentrations, followed by 5000 IU/d?

Evidence supporting the role of vitamin D in reducing risk of COVID-19 includes that the outbreak occurred in winter, a time when 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) concentrations are lowest;

Tthat vitamin D deficiency has been found to contribute to acute respiratory distress syndrome; and that case-fatality rates increase with age and with chronic disease comorbidity, both of which are associated with lower 25(OH)D concentration.

Another study notes the link between severe covid-19 cases and vitamin D deficiency:

“Vitamin D deficiency co-exists in patients with COVID-19. At this time, dark skin color, increased age, the presence of pre-existing illnesses and vitamin D deficiency are features of severe COVID disease. Of these, only vitamin D deficiency is modifiable.

Going outside is also a great way to get vitamin D as well. Personally, I think going outside for 15 minutes a day is the best way to get vitamin D. Not only are you getting this nutrient naturally, but you’re getting fresh air, which is good for you lungs and overall well-being.
