World Health Organization: Are Covid Variants Making Vaccines Ineffective?

According to a recent announcement from the World Health Organization, the existing Covid-19 vaccines have showed reduced signs of efficacy against the Delta variant of coronavirus, which was first detected in India.

How effective are the vaccines long term?

A report in The Hindustan Times quoted WHO official as saying that in the future, there might be a “constellation of mutations” which could mean that the vaccines are likely to lose their potency against fighting Covid-19.

Here are my comments on the covid situation and what we should do:

How accurate is this info? Does anyone really know what’s going on? This is a fluid situation, which means it’s critical we focus on strengthening our immune systems, in addition to taking vaccines. We can’t simply take the vaccine and think everything is OK. Viruses mutate, so we must stay aware of any updates.
